Pork Sirloin Roast with Honey, Sage and Garlic
In my efforts to be super thrifty at the grocery store (read: save enough money to justify buying dumb stuff like pop tarts and brie cheese), I bought two Pork Sirloin Roasts - only because they were on sale. They were two-for-one, which meant that we would have about a $15 roast FOR FREE. So, without knowing how to make it, or what it would taste like, I set off to make one for our family for dinner.
The recipe I found was very easy to make and quite good. The Pork Sirloin Roast has the texture and taste of a pork chop, but is big enough to serve a family (and more). It is shaped kind of like a ball and usually weighs around 2-3 lbs.
Important note: The recipe says to line your roasting pan with tinfoil, and man, they weren't kidding. I was out of tinfoil and thought, oh, I'll just throw it all on in there anyway. I've been soaking my pan for DAYS now to try to get all the burned up bits of liquid and ground sage. Next time, I would postpone making the recipe before I'd skip lining the pan in tinfoil.
