To ward off the cool weather yesterday, we decided to make turkey pot pies.  They are really easy to make and everyone ate it, both of which are a big deal.  The secret ingredient in this recipe - potato flakes (also known as instant mashed potatoes).  I added it at the end of cooking to thicken the sauce without giving it a powdery flavor or consistency


From this recipe, you can either make individual pot pies or a single family-style pie.  It's a very forgiving recipe and really, you can throw just about any vegetables or meats into it and it will be tasty.
