Each day I get an email from MyRecipes.com with an idea for a quick and easy dinner.  Awhile ago, the dinner idea was for some sort of sandwich, but it was the related recipe on the side that caught my eye - homemade tomato soup.  The recipe looked very easy and all the ingredients are things I normally have on hand.  So last night, with grilled cheese on my mind, I made this soup to go with it. 



As easy to make as I'd imagined, the flavor was tangy and it had a nice texture.  And as an added bonus, the kids actually ate it.  I'll definitely make it again.
