Tangy Chicken Legs
The grocery store where I usually shop often has a sale on these giant packages of chicken legs. Each time, I pass the package I wonder "who on earth needs TWO FOR ONE of those?" Because honestly, that's like a dozen chickens who are no longer kickin', and that's a lot of chickens. But, like many times when I talk smart even to myself, it turns out that I NEED those giant packages of chicken legs because they are THAT popular with my kids. So, after searching for an easy way to cook up the chicken legs, I came across this recipe that contained another all-time favorite food - applesauce. I tried it, and it was a huge hit. I thought the chicken was tender and tasty, and the kids devoured it.
The original recipe creates 2 servings, which obviously isn't enough for me to use on a giant package of chicken legs. I've modified the recipe to create enough sauce to cover all the legs. If you feel like it's not enough, just add more of the garlic powder, applesauce, and soy sauce until all your chicken is saucy. Like my children.
